V76 Styling Cream Review -- A Stronger Brylcreem

Video review here: http://youtu.be/NZ-o8xWThCQ

As part of our series with the V76 by Vaughn line, we’re starting to wrap things up and on our second to last product. This is the Styling Cream (Medium Hold). It’ll be steps lighter under the Control Balm and Conditioning Gel.

Like all the other tube products from the V76 line, it comes in a similar packaging with different colors to distinguish. The goop itself is a nice opaque white cream. It has a nicer, thicker consistency in comparison to the Conditioning Gel from before.

Application

This product, given its differences and position within the lineup, it was relatively easy to apply. Even if your hair isn’t damp, it was still not bad at all. My criticism for these tube products thus far is that they’ve been difficult to apply because of their gel-like characteristics. There’s the possibility that they’ll dry halfway through your work if you’re too slow. This product was a mix of the Control Balm and the Ultralight, which makes it nice.

Styling

Time. It will require about an average amount of time.

Slickness. It’s about as slick as Imperial Gel Pomade. In other words, slick enough to style, but it’s not a characteristics that will persist throughout the day.

Strength. It’s on the lighter side. Would definitely be a killer product to style a combover or side part with.

Conclusion

It is definitely an interesting product. Okay for a pompadour, but can potentially be super useful for many other types of hairstyles. It seems to be a very versatile product with a whole lot of potential.
